PISSED OFF

I don't think I made a mistake in Obama, but I sure am pissed off.

Why did Obama choose Pastor Rick Warren to speak at his inauguration?

I mean, this man is against gay rights and spearheaded the campaign to ban gay marriage in California - not to mention that he is a crazy Christan fundamentalist. I thought Obama was against mixing church and state...so why is he courting the fundamentalists?

I don't get it - and I - and many liberals - are pissed off.

Honey Obama was against gay marriage from the start. He stated that in one of his debates and so did Joe Biden. But I do agree with you he should keep church and state separate.

Change indeed!

At least with old daddy McCain and Caribu Barbie, we knew what we were getting, Obama seems to be a slippery fellow.

Warren's indeed an intolerant fellow, but that doesn't necessarily reflect poorly on Obama's choice to have him lead the invocation. And though it does indeed violate our country's separation between church and state, you simply cannot separate religion from the politician.

Won't ever happen in this country. I've learned to live with it.

If you look closely, Obama never really claimed to be the poster boy for "progressive" change. The voters deliberately chose to anoint him one despite his constant rhetoric about "reaching across the aisle" and "coming together."

We liberals got so caught up in his message of change that we failed to understand the difference between election politics and politics in general.

Like his centrist choices to fill the cabinet positions, Obama's selection of Rick Warren to lead our country in prayer is yet another result of his inclusive ideology. It sounds great in theory, but in practice it makes us eat our own words. If we demand tolerance than we must tolerate the intolerant.

I predicted that Obama would anger more on the left than on the right, and so far my predictions have been entirely accurate.

Again, this isn't rocket science. It's politics.

The honeymoon is over for me - I'm not featuring Obama at my movie house anymore. If he keeps up with these antics, he will be a one-term president for sure - and that might be a nice "change".

Bertha, I'm beginning to think you were right - but I wanted Hillary, too.

I have nothing really to say. Other than I'm laughing so hard I think I ruptured my spleen.

You wanted change? Here it is. We're on a sinking ship, and Osama Obama's poking holes in the hull.
