I HATE MINNEAPOLIS

Why do people live in Minneapolis?

It baffles me to no end why anyone would choose to live in a place that freezes over for 8 month of the year. I mean, good luck wearing a pair of fab shoes when it's 20 degrees below zero and there are piles and piles of gross brown snow everywhere. Perhaps this is why everyone I meet in the state of Minnesota is fat, tacky, bored, sexless and unhappy.

As I drove around this horrible place snarled with urban sprawl and huge traffic jams, it occured to me that Minneapolis has all of the hassles of a major city - LA, NYC or San Fran - but none of the benefits such as nice weather, good restaurants, cool people or culture.

Again, why do people live here?

Aron here, You know I drove to Snelling (fairview) the other day around 5 pm, it took over one hour to drive 4 miles, it was a horrible jam, worthy of Los Angeles. There was horrible urban sprawl, no hills, lots of scary gang bangers around. Minneapolis is so stressful, but without a cutting edge bar/club scene. No exciting shopping for clothes, in fact some of the worst shopping in the country (for a city of its size). It is so cold here that one does not even want to venture outside. There really is no reason to ever come here again. Perhaps for a month in August.

There's no point in arguing with you over this one. We'll have to agree to disagree.

Where the hell are you parking your ass when you are in MPLS? Sounds like you are spending a little too much time in the burbs or the boring South Mpls neighborhood you grew up in. To see you trash talk Mpls everytime you leave it is getting old. You know full well that the downtown scene is not filled with fat middle aged woman, mom jeans and coach purses. When you are back in NY, why don't you venture out of that hip and happenin' 20 block bubble you call home? Compare apples to apples. Oh please, tell us about all the upscale, cultured folk you find in the outer city limits, regular neighborhoods and suburbs of NY.... You will find nice, regular, fat, boring people everywhere. Even NY.. Also, I guess I wasn't aware that it didn't snow in NY. Wow, you can wear your Jimmy Choos anytime you want! Cool.

PS It was 28 degrees in Mpls yesterday and it didn't snow.
