THE WAR

I've been watching the amazing PBS mini-series "The War" - and I think it's truely amazing. One thing I found interesting is that President Franklin Roosevelt sent his son to the front lines, which made me wonder why Dubya hasn't sent his daughters to Iraq if he believes so strongly in his war.

Yes, another Republican hypocrite.

Terrific point, mm.

If the majority of the Republicans feel so strongly about the righteousness of this war and the importance of "winning," then why aren't they fervantly encouraging not only their own children to enlist but all able bodied men of fighting age to do so as well?

Isn't that what you're supposed to do when you believe in a just war?

How dare they champion the "effort" from the safety of their Georgetown homes but refuse to make the necessary sacrifices where it truly counts, which is at the enlistment centers and on the battle fields. It's nothing more than a war of convenience for all these neoconservative ideologues.

The hypocrisy is astounding.
