I found this tidbit in the news today.

"WalMart Stores Inc., the world's largest retailer, denied a report Friday that it had pressured employees to vote against Democrats in November because of worries that a bill the party supports would make it easier for workers to unionize.

The measure, called the Employee Free Choice Act, would allow labor organizations to unionize workplaces without secret ballot elections. It was co-sponsored by Barack Obama, the presumed Democratic presidential candidate, and opposed by John McCain, the presumed Republican nominee."

Oh, please, WalMart is one big Republican franchise.

Please do not shop at WalMart.

a study was done a few years back about wal-marts in small town america. most of the small towns welcomed the wal-marts - but soon the small mom and pop shops closed because everyone was shopping at wal-mart to save a few pennies. soon, the small towns were left as virtual ghost towns with boarded up main streets and no community. what's even more scary is that the study compared prices between wal-mart and the small stores - the shoppers only saved about $20 per year by shopping at wal-mart. so in the end, the small town folks destroyed their towns for 20 bucks.

I hate wal-mart. They are dirty and disorganized.I agree stay away. And let's not start on the fact that wal-mart has had problems selling guns to people without I.D. not giving their empolyees proper breaks. There is alot more I am sure that we just don't know.
